About
About Tax Atlas
Tax Atlas is a reference for people whose money crosses borders — digital nomads, expats, cross-border commuters and the advisors who serve them. It answers the questions that decide real tax bills: where you are tax resident, which thresholds apply, how a treaty splits the tax between two countries, and what a nomad visa actually means for what you owe.
Why this exists
The existing options are either anonymous tools with no credentials or content farms with no tools. Tax Atlas combines structured, sourced tax data with free tools and genuine professional accountability — every quantitative claim is a database record with a citation and a verification date, not an unsourced sentence.
Who is behind it
Tax Atlas is written and verified by Henning Stanger, Authorized Accountant (Autorisert regnskapsfører), and published under BRIS Regnskap AS. The authorization is Norwegian; the site is educational reference for a global audience, not a substitute for advice licensed in your own jurisdiction.
What it does not do
Tax Atlas does not give personalized tax advice, does not file returns, and does not sell your data. Tools run in your browser with no account and no email wall.
